Law and Relationships
- It’s against the law to have sex with anyone under the age of 16.
- The age of consent for gay men is 16.*
- Sex with someone under the age of 13 is "rape" and carries a heavy prison sentence.
- It’s against the law to have sex with someone who has had so much to drink that they are unconscious.
- You can get free condoms, confidential sexual health information, treatment and advice from your Doctor even if you are under the age of 16.
- You have to be 18 years old to marry without parental consent in England and Wales.
