Being treated equally by Connexions Norfolk

We ask young people how to treat you equally

To make sure that there are no barriers in our services to young people, we ask groups of young people for their views on our work with them.

We take action, where possible, on suggestions you make. Listed below are some of the actions we are taking (or have taken) in response to issues about equality and diversity.

  • It is now possible for a young person to tell their Personal Adviser about their religion or beliefs and have it put on their records.
  • To have more pictures/posters reflecting the diversity of young people in Connexions Centres to help those from different backgrounds feel more welcome.
  • To make sure that there is a clear system for reporting incidents that break equality laws.
  • To make sure we have a diverse range of young people on our Centre User Groups.
  • To provide support and to our staff to improve our services to young people with learning difficulties and those with emotional or behavioural issues.

If you have any comments you wish to make about our service regarding equality please contact us on 01603 764370.
